VISION

MY ROLE AS A MISSIONARY

My goals for the next few years are to take the passions that I have for videography, rock climbing, and the beautiful outdoors that our God has created, and use them to share the gospel of God's love for us to anyone who will watch or listen. I am working with a Communications and Mobilization team of missionaries that are also passionate about these thing in Trentino Italy. I know that God's plans for my time in Italy are much bigger than I could possibly imagine, so I will also need to abide in him closely, and surround myself with people who can keep me accountable and focused.

Y.W.A.M.

"What is YWAM?", well I'm glad you asked! Youth with A Mission, or YWAM, is a global movement of Christians with a mission to "know God and make him known". It started in the 60s as a way to involve young people in missions, but it has grown much bigger since then. Now YWAM is involved with almost every kind of outreach you can imagine from the Olympics to fashion shows and beyond. They have 20,000 staff at over 1,800 campuses in over 180 countries! YWAM's many ministries can be broken down into 3 major ministries: Evangelism, Training, And Mercy Ministries. The Evangelism ministries are focused on sharing the gospel, because everyone in the world has the right to hear the message of Jesus Christ. The Training is focused on training and equipping Christians to use their unique skills and passions in evangelism. Every missionary that works through YWAM is also required to do an intense 6 month course called a Discipleship Training School that teaches the basics of becoming a disciple of Jesus, how to create more disciples, and how to stay healthy while in ministry. The third area of focus is Mercy Ministries which are focused on giving hope to those that are poor, sick, or suffering from injustice. BACKGROUND

My fire for Jesus began while I was in high school. I distinctly remember the moment I realized Jesus wanted more than just a superficial religious relationship with me. He wanted a deep personal relationship, and actually cared about my life! My whole view on life changed! I dove into my bible and studied it cover to cover 3 times in a pursuit of God's Heart. I needed to know this God who cared so much about me. I asked countless questions to the spiritual leaders God had placed in my life, and I found what I was looking for.
After I finished high school I was given the opportunity to learn how to share my passion and help others develop their own obsession with the God, who loves them so dearly, through Y.W.A.M.. I found a group of young adults who were passionately pursuing Jesus and who were committed to knowing God and making him known! Over the next 6 months a team of 15 other young adults and I trained and then deployed across the globe sharing our testimonies of how Jesus changed our lives and how he can change yours too.
when I returned home I had a heart burning for the nations and I was asking God what country he would like to sent me to next. He gave me a very clear answer: "Stay where you are until I tell you to move". It was almost heartbreaking. I was expecting my life to continue being an epic adventure, but being a missionary to my own home didn't look like that. Oh boy was I wrong! I got to join 7 different ministry groups. I had endless discipleship opportunities, and I learned a lot about work/life balance and burnout and many other necessary skills for ministry. I also grew passions for videography, rock climbing, motorcycles, and cooking. 2.5 years into my mission God told me: "Quit your job and get ready to go." While going through a rollercoaster of fear and excitement, I began to look for opportunities as I waited for God to open a door for me. After 4 months of volunteering at a missions base in Hawaii, and during a 3 month internship with a promotion/advertising company in Italy, I was put in contact with a growing missions base in Italy. After talking with some of their staff about their needs as a base I immediately knew God was opening a door here for me. A member of the base, named Tom, said that they had been praying that God would send someone who was trained in social media promotion who could help train and lead the communications and mobilization team. They were also looking for someone who is passionate about rock climbing and could help start a Discipleship Training School focused on reaching the rock climbing community.
I am now building a team of partners who believe in God's plan for my life, and for Italy, and who are willing to walk with me in prayer and financially in faith. Please reach out if you are interested in joining the team, or if you just want to talk.

PARTNERSHIP

I believe that being a "missionary" is a lifestyle, not just something we do for a season of life. And I considered myself a missionary even while I was living in my hometown. It is my intention to continue following God's calling for me to be a full-time missionary in Italy as long as He desirers for me to stay there. But I can't do it alone, and I don't even want to try. I am building a team of as many Christians as are willing to partner with me in sharing the gospel to Italy and any other country or people group I get the chance to minister in. As a missionary in the States I was able to have a job and fund my own part-time ministries and help fund many other missionaries that I knew around the world. Now that I am in Italy I am not able to have a job outside of ministry, because Italian law prohibits Missionaries from working for any kind of income. If you are reading this I would love to send you my missions updates and have you on my prayer support team! I also ask that you pray and please consider joining my financial support team to insure I can continue my ministry in Italy.
